The ViaMaggiore Z Plus is a new, non-studded tyre, designed specifically for harsh winters. The model is designed with special focus on high grip with road surface in all weather conditions. Such multipurposeness is achieved due to three-part asymmetric tread pattern made of innovative rubber compound with optimized polymer composition that preserves the tread flexibility at low temperatures. Winter silica, specially designed by the French company for this type of tyre, provides maximum snow and ice grip.
The combination of tread elements enables good performance in constantly varying road conditions. The outer part of the tread provides grip on dry asphalt, the middle part- on ice, and the inner part - on snow. The lamellas design makes the tyre resistant to aquaplaning on wet asphalt, while tread blocks, connected by bridges, are like anti-skid chains on snow.
The new tyre has improved shock absorption of lateral impacts and improved level of comfort due to use of new materials in carcass. The new tyre has following features:
The ViaMaggiore Z Plus product line will include 16 tyre sizes with 15-18 inches rim diameter for passenger cars and SUVs.
Longitudinal and lateral grooves remove water from the contact patch, preventing aquaplaning. Wide self-cleaned channels between tread blocks allow the blocks to press deeply into the snow and mud reaching the hard surface of the road.
Due to various arrangement angles of gripping edges, three longitudinal ribs separated by inclined arrow-shaped grooves allow the tyre to perform efficiently in different situations: during acceleration, braking and cornering.
Due to stiff blocks brought together in the grooves bottom, outer parts of the tread provide improved lateral grip of the tyre when maneuvering, and also enhance traction and precise handling on dry road surface.
The interlocking 3D-Lock-Sphere lamellas increase stiffness of tread blocks, what makes the car's movement more predictable and safe on any surfaces. The surface of 3D lamellas allows them to support each other, ensuring resistance of the blocks to deformation. And due to combination of different angles of lamellas arrangement, grip and braking are in all directions.
