Tread and other rubber compounds in summer tyres stiffen at low air temperature in the cold season. Starting from an average daily temperature of + 7 degrees Celsius, the tyres become stiff, the ability for reliable contact with the road decreases rapidly, leading to nearly slipping. All-season tyres, unlike summer tyres, have a wider range of characteristics that help to cope with any weather conditions:
All-season tyres TM PREMIORRI combine the necessary complex of performance characteristics:
The use of RSS natural rubber and special “winter” silica Zeosil 1085 GR with low specific surface in rubber compounds provides the necessary properties: low dynamic modulus and maintaining stable elasticity in conditions of varying temperatures and the maximum effective contact area on all types of roads any time of year.
Due to these advantages, all-season tyres TM PREMIORRI provide safe and comfortable level of steerability of vehicle in extreme weather conditions. High adhesion properties of tyres on a snow-covered surface were confirmed by an independent certification body Test world, Finland, the coefficient of adhesion was 1.28 and 1.11, respectively, at a standard of not less than 1.02.
A new crosslinking agent Vultac 5 (ARKEMA BV, France) was used in rubber for innerliner for the first time. It promotes the formation of vulcanization network with more stable and thermally stable monosulfide cross-links compared to polysulfide chains typical for sulfur vulcanization. This allows to improve the quality and gas impermeability of innerliner, and therefore to prevent pressure loss in tyres during operation.
The combination of the tread pattern elements of Vimero tyre with a multitude of lamellae, blocks and multidirectional grooves provided the new product with balanced performance characteristics. Namely, an excellent level of steerability on wet and snowy roads, reliable grip on any road surface, short braking distance and reduced risk of aquaplaning.
Designing Vimero-VAN, we were looking for a balance between high mileage and comfort and striving to achieve good safety performance, especially in steerability on wet asphalt and slush, typical of regions with mild winters, where the use of all-season tyres is the most justified.
Vimero SUV tyres have some features of their class different from ordinary passenger cars. First of all, this is a heavy weight of SUV-type vehicles in contrast to passenger cars, and secondly, a large inertia mass during braking, which requires from the tyre in general, and from the elements of the pattern in particular, high strength. In addition, cars of this class have powerful engines and, as a result, increased wear of the tread pattern. To meet all these requirements, an asymmetrical tread pattern was developed, which has a rigid outer side and a more elastic inner one.
